About us
The Portuguese devotion to the Divino Espírito Santo is a living expression of faith, equality, and community.
Rooted in Pentecost and shaped by centuries of tradition—especially in the Azores—it celebrates the Holy Spirit not only through prayer and symbolism, but through action: feeding the community, sharing leadership, and affirming that all people are equal under God. The crown and flag represent a spiritual kingdom governed by humility, justice, and generosity, where no one is forgotten and no one goes hungry. More than a single feast day, the Festa do Divino Espírito Santo remains a public promise to live out the values of charity, unity, and hope in everyday life.
